I liked when Hulk threw the rock for the dinosaurs to go back into the portal. Then the portal closes. I like when Hulk punches Loki too.

4. 5 stars rounded down for a fast moving book that I couldn't put down. I read 105 pp the first day and the rest of this 396 page book on the second day. I have read 34 books by Connelly and enjoyed every single one. In this book, reporter Jack McEvoy is questioned by LAPD detectives because a woman that he met in a bar 1 year ago has been murdered. Jack investigates and believes that she was murdered by a serial killer. There is a connection to a consumer DNA company. He does solve the mystery, with help from Emily Atwater, another reporter at Fair Warning, the online newspaper where he works, and ex FBI agent Rachel Walling. The book refers to incidents in previous books and I recommend that you read them in order.

For sure on the erotic side. Very headstrong characters make this one more interesting and keeps you guessing how things will turn out. I enjoyed this one and found more from the author that I enjoyed too.

Next To Last Stand Craig Johnson

4 bright stars for another enjoyable book by Craig Johnson. All the familiar characters are here: Henry Standing Bear, native Cheyenne owner of the Red Pony bar Walt Longmire, Absaroka County Sheriff Victoria Moretti, Walt's under sheriff and sometime lover Ruby, Absaroka County dispatcher This book is #16 in the series, and I recommend that you read them in order, as the book refers to incidents in previous books. The book centers on a famous painting "Custer's Last Fight." Millions of copies of this painting were distributed by beer maker Anheuser-Busch. It was supposedly destroyed in a fire in 1946. But then a resident of the Veterans' Home of Wyoming dies and Walt is called in by the director Carol because she found a shoe box with $1 million in cash in Charley Lee Stillwater's room. Walt searches the room and finds a painting proof that looks like it is connected to the supposedly destroyed "Custer's Last Fight." Unraveling the mystery of the million dollars and the painting leads Walt into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with killers. He does solve the case with help from Victoria and residents of the Veterans' Home. There are laugh out loud lines in this book, Walt and Henry discussing Custer: Walt: "Custer was a dashing and flamboyant commander..." Henry; "A devious and irrational bundle of manic depression who finished last in his class at West Point---in short a horse's ass." Both my wife and I enjoy this series. I read this library book in 2 days.

This book was a fantastic mix of Romance, Native American Activism, and straight up ugly Capitalism. The main characters (Nix and Maxim) are fantastically well written and developed. The author really must have done a lot of research for this story, and she was very good at finding a topic that is very relatable to what is happening today without, completely mirroring real situations. I jumped right in to the sequel!

This book really makes you think about the horrible events on 9/11. It’s crazy to think that people who actually contributed to the terrorist acts could still be living among us

My favorite part was when they put the baby kangaroo into the bin bag. The story was about Jack and Annie going to Australia to get a gift from a kangaroo. If you like Australian animals, you will like this book.
