Catstronauts Mission Moon

I really enjoyed the book because it had a mix of humor and suspense. I really liked the part where Blanket and Waffles get up in the middle of the night and are very tired.

The Underground Railroad
by Colson Whitehead

This story starts out with life of a slave girl name Cora, who is even considered an outcast amongst her fellow African slaves-- runs away and begins a terrifying journey on an actual railroad. This was a surprise because I assumed it was metaphorical like the real "underground railroad" was. I would love to say I loved this book, and in some respect it did. It was very well written, and therefore the horrors of slave life are very strongly accounted for. If you have a vivid story mind like mine, the details of the torcher and abuse was very hard to digest.

I liked that this story had ghosts, it was scary and had horses. My favorite part was when Slim told the ghost story. Another good part was then the ghost was playing the piano.

Big Summer

I liked this book a little bit more towards the beginning. It then took more of a mystery turn which isn’t always my favorite. But Jennifer Weiner is always a favorite and she doesn’t disappoint!

Spinning Silver By Naomi Novik

This book was not as good as Uprooted was but it was still well written. It was written in multiple different view points, which I think added to the story but there were times when it was hard to tell which person was narrating the story. I've also found that while most of her plot lines are well developed, her romance plot lines are not. They feel out of place and like they just put that as an afterthought. It felt abrupt and unnecessary to the plot, and took away from the magic of the story. Overall though it was a good book, and it's good if you ignore the poorly written romance

The Lions Of Fifth Avenue

I really enjoyed this book. It moved back and forth between turn of the century and more current day but ties the two stories together. A little mystery and a little history.

This is the fastest I read a book. 4 days and I couldn't put it done. Excellent writing by Debbie Macomber. A 5 star review and would highly recommend.
